Youth Festival 'Digital World - 2007'

Last year the Festival, held as part of InfoCom 2006 Exhibition Forum, was organized for the first time and enjoyed considerable official support and wide public interest.

Festival Program:
  • Interactive program for fair visitors: Digital Route Game Festival
  • Open computer multiathlon tournament "IT Students E-Cup-2007" among Moscow school teams

Computer Game Cup "InfoCom E-Cup 2007"
The competition will be held in computer games most popular in Moscow:
- FIFA2006,
- NFS: MW,
- WarCraft 3.

Registration will be organized at the venue of the tournament, allowing everyone to register and take part in the competition. The winners will get Cups, prizes and present from the Festival's partners.


Open computer multiathlon tournament among school teams "IT Students E-Cup-2007"
Participants: Moscow school teams.

The program of the tournament comprises preparation and organization of the series of competitions and contests among school teams on the following computer subjects:

1. PC assembly against time: personal and team score;
2. Setup of local area network (with Internet connection) against time: team score;
3. Thematic web-page design: team score;
4. Information search in Internet against time: personal and team score;
5. Computer games tournament: personal and team score;
6. Best Photo Gallery competition: team score;
7. Competition on operation systems proficiency;
8. Best multimedia presentation.

Team's line-up – up to 15 persons: team manager, system administrator, web designer, camera man, marketing specialist, spokesperson.


Interactive Program "Digital Route Game Festival"

For the Festival companies specializing in digital technologies will organize interactive areas at InfoCom fair venue, where visitors will have a chance to personally get acquainted with the technologies demonstrated.

The Festival's target audiences are high school students of general and specialized education schools, teenagers attending courses on information and communication technologies (photo studios, PC courses), students of Moscow's colleges and higher education institutions, as well as teachers of information science and the visitors of InfoCom 2007 7th International Exhibition Forum. In order to attract the audience, a special target mailing has been organized with invitations to Moscow students to attend the Festival.

At the entrance to the hall, visitors will obtain the Digital Route map, containing the game plan, the rules of the game, the record book and the participant's questionnaire.

Along the route, visitors will perform different tasks, take part in quizzes, competitions, master classes on digital photo and computer design, computer assembly tournaments, Internet searches, and get acquainted with the latest innovations in digital technologies and game industry.

Visitors that pass all checkpoints, as confirmed by marks on their route map, will get different prizes and presents from the partners of the Digital Route Game Festival.
