Education Day
Many educational events were held within the framework of Education Day.
The Guests of the Day were the winners of the first competition for school websites. The enthusiasm of the schoolchildren was rewarded by prizes handed out by Stas Peha.
The all-Russia student workshop conference "Information Technologies in the World of Telecommunications" was held at the RIO-Centre, an event specially timed to coincide with the InfoCom exhibition. Minister of Information Technologies Reiman attended the launch, the main event of which was the prize-giving ceremony to the winners of the all-Russia annual open competition "Computer Vseobuch-2007".
Internet Day
The event was opened with the report "Blogs and Blogosphere - Then and Now" by the writer Alex Exler. Prizes were then awarded to the winners of the Best IT Blog Competition, organized by Formika, followed by addresses by representatives of ROZIT, ECDL, Odnoklassniki.ru, 1C-Bitrix and TRINET.
The Internet Day program was completed by the roundtable meeting "Blogs, Social Networks... What Next?" The main event of the meeting was the address of Anton Nosik, the director of the blog division of SUP, who made a sensational statement that immediately spread around the RUNET.
Alex Exler, Odnoklassniki and Diary representatives also took part in the discussion.
Russian-Chinese Forum
The Forum was headed by Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Russia B. Antonyuk and the head of the Secretariat of China's Ministry of Information Industry G. Yunzhong. In the course of the event the participants expressed confidence that both countries attach much importance to cooperation in the field of ICT. Top-managers from Russian and Chinese ICT companies made reports, proposing specific solutions for the development of cooperation between Russia and China.
CNews held roundtable meetings on "ICT in National Projects": "ICT as the Basis for Communal Services Reform", "IT - Health Service Modernization: today and tomorrow" and "ICT in Education", which involved address by members of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Russia.
Another roundtable meeting, "Implementation of Major Telecommunication Projects Based on VSAT", was organized by ComNews.
InfoLinux held a seminar dedicated to the use of Linux in education and the Russian masterclass "Perl Today".
CenterTelecom entertained visitors with its show program. The famous singer Stas Pieha was on hand to sign autographs and and visitors could also take part in quizzes and prize draws. Other events included a press conference by VT, a video conference with Ekaterinburg arranged by LinuxCenter, seminars and seminars by Orange System and CenterTelecom.
