Center of Internet Technologies (Regional Public Organization) (ROCIT, www.rocit.ru) is the oldest organization of Russian Internet, created in 1996.
ROCIT is called to create a platform for effective interaction of suppliers and consumers of the information; to adjust independent advisory activity; to smooth break between growth of quantity and quality of information-network technologies and the services given through world-wide accessible network units WWW and a level of application of these technologies by domestic consumers, both the organizations, and individual users. One of the most famous such platforms - the Russian Internet Forum (the RIF, www.rif.ru)
